Investment Associate

We are looking for an Investment Associate. Our ambition is to grow our number of platform investments in the coming years. Therefore, we are looking for you to join our New Business (NB) team, which is the Private Equity team responsible for new platform investments.

The NB team is engaged in developing new platforms and expanding existing ones. In doing so, the team works on many different projects in an entrepreneurial setting. The lines of communication are short and decisions can be taken quickly. As a result, you immediately see the impact and results of your work. People are very involved because it involves their own money.

• Identifying and analysing investment propositions
• Developing entire transaction (model, valuation, structure, terms, bid)
• Executing DD processes, including preparing 100-day plan
• Generation of new investment opportunities
• Analysing markets to launch new buy-and-build platforms
• Supervising potential sales/exit trajectories
• Training and managing analysts and interns
• Contributing to the development of Strikwerda Investments

• 4-6 years of relevant work experience, e.g. within M&A, Strategy Consulting or Private Equity
• Affinity with entrepreneurship and/or working with entrepreneurs
• Business, financial and/or economic background is a plus
• Analytical, intellectual and conceptual skills
• Communicative and social skills
• Proactive, independent and flexible attitude
• Experience with managing a team
• Team player with a sense of humour
• Fluency in Dutch and English
