Strikwerda Investments acquires IT-infrastructure specialist Vancis

March 31st 2016, Amsterdam/Utrecht/Blaricum - Strikwerda Investments (SI) is the new owner of Vancis B.V., supplier of high-grade IT-services in research-, educational-, and healthcare-institutes as well as professional services companies. SI acquires Vancis from Cooperatie SURF, a specialized organisation for educational platforms and research institutes in The Netherlands. The transaction was signed on March 30th, 2016.

Vancis is a specialized IT infrastructure outsourcing provider which designs, implements, and manages complex IT-infrastructures for medium-sized and large companies. Since its incorporation in 2008, Vancis successfully achieved a leading position within the Dutch IT-market. Paul van Rozendaal, CEO of Vancis: “Together with SI, in the next few years we will be working on expanding our current market position and we will broaden our perspective towards adjacent sectors. We are looking actively for possibilities to create more scale in this consolidating IT-market. Furthermore, due to this cooperation with SI, we are able to accelerate our business and realize further acquisitions in the IT-infrastructure outsourcing sector.”

Reliable partner
Cooperatie SURF decided to sell her 100% interest in Vancis, so Vancis can achieve further growth as a commercial supplier in a competitive market. SURF preferred a party which would provide knowledge, experience and a proven network within the Dutch IT-market and furthermore, SURF wanted the potential acquirer to be able to offer a long-term and reliable commitment to Vancis. SI, which is also participating in Total Specific Solution, has created a new platform in her portfolio by realizing the acquisition of Vancis. SI will also keep actively focussed on successfully sourcing potential acquisitions within the Dutch IT-market.
